DESCRIPTION:Pennsylvania Healthy Lands Week will be widely promoted as a way to celebrate and spotlight how citizens can get involved with stewardship of their favorite park\, forest\, museum\, cultural center\, and points of interest. You can get in on the celebration and boost stewardship in your community by hosting your own special event during Pennsylvania Healthy Lands Week.\nEvents can be anything that gets people out to experience Pennsylvania’s resources. Programs can be in-person or virtual. They can take place at a specific date and time or be an open invitation for participants to experience anytime during Pennsylvania Healthy Lands Week. Stewardship is the core purpose\, but events can offer any opportunity that helps people appreciate PA’s Healthy Lands.\nSeptember 28 – October 6 will be a great time to expand your list of supporters\, volunteers\, members\, patrons\, and lifelong stewards!\nAdd your event to the Pennsylvania Healthy Lands Week calendar so it can be included in the promotional efforts.\nRegister online at https://pahealthylandsweek.org/submit-event/\n

DESCRIPTION:French & Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust invites you to join in a guided site tour for the French Creek – South Branch restoration project. This tour will take place on Thursday\, October 3rd at 4:30pm at the Thomas P. Bentley Nature Preserve.\nJoin their expert team of scientists and learn about the exciting restoration work planned for the South Branch. The team will discuss what makes the South Branch so special\, challenges it faces\, threats to its water quality\, and our plans to improve its function and health.\nThis program will begin with a brief overview of the project before the group explores a creek-side zone of the site.
