September 17, 2021 10:00am to 12:00pm
In lieu of our annual bus tour, the SAN is hosting an outdoor project showcase of the Northwestern Stables agricultural projects in Philadelphia. After touring the Stables, guests will hear from speakers about the annual announcement of the Schuylkill River Restoration Fund grantees for environmental restoration projects within the Schuylkill Watershed.
A free lunch will be served after the event courtesy of Schuylkill River Greenways and the Schuylkill Action Network. Each guest will have an individually packaged item and there are several picnic tables both inside and outside to sit at. Upon registering, you may select if you are interested in eating with us and what your dietary restrictions are.
For attendees arriving by car, parking will be free street parking on either side of Northwestern Ave or on neighboring side streets. For attendees arriving by public transportation, the 97 and L SEPTA buses have a bus stop Germantown Pike & Northwestern Ave, just a one minute walk away. More information is available at SEPTA.org. We will gather at the side entrance to the Stables closest to Germantown Ave. If you walk through the main gate, turn left and follow the path until you reach the side of the barn. Please do not walk through any barn or stables unless guided by a staff member.
This event will be largely outdoors, but we ask all guests to bring a mask. Attendance is currently limited to 50 people limited to change and first come first served; additional guests will be placed on a waiting list. Attendees will receive an email the week and day before the event outlining COVID guidelines and logistics.
This location is not ADA accessible.
Rain or shine!
*CLOSED TOED SHOES ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL GUESTS*
