Pennsylvania has a lot of water, no question, but there have been times in our commonwealth’s history where droughts have threatened the state. What’s more, with the threat of climate change looming, there’s the possibility of major changes within Pennsylvania’s water cycle. Join Penn State Extension for Water Cooler Talk: Pennsylvania's State Water Plan Overview to discuss the State Water Plan. The State Water Plan is an effort to holistically plan for the future of Pennsylvania’s water resources by engaging stakeholders from multiple professional fields and tapping their expertise. Seven committees work to develop a plan that not only accounts for a present situation but actively considers problems that have yet to fully surface. Join James from DEP as he breaks down this plan’s history, and your role in its future.
