Regional Trails Program
DVRPC's Regional Trails Program provides planning assistance and financial support to trail developers, counties, municipalities and nonprofit organizations to complete the Circuit, Greater Philadelphia's 800-plus-mile network of multi-use trails. NRCS Farm Bill Program Assistance
Through a cooperative agreement, the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD), have made available $9 million in technical assistance grants to six Pennsylvania conservation districts to help implement Farm Bill Programs. The funds will increase the technical capacity among conservation districts, allowing them to work with more farmers and landowners to address natural resouce concerns. Lancaster Clean Water Fund
In 2020, the Lancaster Clean Water Fund will provide $128,000 for water quality improvement projects that help Lancaster achieve the specific pollutant reductions (mainly nutrient and phosphorus) by 2025 in accordance with the Lancaster Countywide Action Plan. Grants will be awarded through the Community Grant Fund (up to $5,000) for small-scale projects or the Water Quality Impact Fund ($10,000-$50,000) for large-scale, high-priority restoration projects. Examples include streambank stabilization, turf to meadow projects, riparian forest buffers, community tree plantings, green infrastructure, environmental education, removal of impervious surfaces, and ecological restoration.
