State Wildlife Grant Program
Funds for the State Wildlife Grants program (SWG) are provided by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to keep species from becoming federally listed as threatened or endangered. Annually appropriated by the U.S. Congress, Pennsylvania's funds are apportioned between the Fish and Boat Commission and Game Commission to address each agencies' trust species and habitats. Stormwater Management Incentives Program
SMIP projects are evaluated based on a variety of criteria, including total volume of stormwater managed, cost competitiveness and other environmental and educational benefits. Competitive applications will limit grant requests to $100,000 or less per impervious acre and manage at least the first 1” of runoff. Tulpehocken & Quittapahilla Watershed Grant Program
Tulpehocken and Quittapahilla Creek Watershed grants are given for stream restoration, habitat enhancement, and recreational enhancement activities on streams located in the Tulpehocken and Quittapahilla Creek watersheds. The monies can be used for stand-alone projects or to supplement other funding for larger projects that are designed to improve aquatic habitat, water quality, or recreational use. Valley Creek Watershed Grant Program
The Valley Creek Trustee Council, comprised of the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission and the National Park Service, oversees a grant program to provide funding for restoration of the Valley Creek Watershed in Chester County, PA.
