Open space funds to improve Chester County parks, including adaptive kayak launch on Schuylkill River

$251,305 of the $2.5 million in grants the Chester County Commissioners approved will be directed to improvements in the Schuylkill River watershed. The grants are made available through Chester County’s Preservation Partnership Program, which offers funding to municipalities and nonprofit land preservation organizations.

The Schuylkill Action Network (SAN) is a collaborative network of over 300 partner organizations working together to improve water resources in the Schuylkill River watershed. With "action" as SAN’s middle name, SAN partners have been working since 2003 to implement best practices across the Schuylkill River Watershed.
