2024 Southeast PA Water Utility Forum

On Tuesday, September 24, 2024, the SAN held the 2024 Southeast PA Water Utility Forum at Albright College. 

The forum consisted of roughly 30 participants - a mix of water utilities, government agencies, and nonprofit partners.

Presenters included

• Chris Crockett of Essential Utilities sharing a welcome on behalf of the SAN Executive Steering Committee
• Jennifer Leister and Jason DiPietro of Upper Montgomery Joint Authority who shared on UMJA's Community Engagement programming
• Erick Ammon of Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection who presented on PA DEP's Wastewater Technical Assistance Program and available funding
• A panel focused on Pennvest funding and highlighting a couple of regional case studies wrapped up the day
  • Rebecca Hayden of Pennvest shared a brief presentation on Pennvest funding and the application process
  • Keith Hass of Doylestown Township Municipal Authority shared a case study on a recently funded project for PFAS treatment
  • David Teter of Orwigsburg Borough shared a case study on a recently completed Pennvest-funded project for utility line replacements
