Schuylkill Highlands Mini Grant Program
The Schuylkill Highlands Mini-Grant Program is a reimbursement grant program funded by the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) and administered by Natural Lands. This grant program provides small grants up to $25,000.00 for projects in Berks County, major portions of Chester, Montgomery, and Bucks, and to a lesser extent Lancaster and Lebanon Counties, that support the goals and objectives of the Schuylkill Highlands Conservation Landscape. Section 319 Nonpoint Source Management Grants
The Department of Environmental Protection will be accepting applications for EPA Section 319 Watershed Restoration and Planning Grants starting June 24. The deadline for applications is August 9, 2019. The Department is focusing these grants on projects that reduce nonpoint source pollution in targeted watersheds with WIPs, especially projects that reduce nitrogen, phosphorous and sediment pollution from agricultural and stormwater runoff, along with AMD-related pollution from iron, aluminum and acidity. The Department is particularly interested in projects that implement effective best management practices (BMP) that reduce or eliminate stream impairments within WIP areas, leading to local water quality improvements. Growing Greener Plus Grants Program
Growing Greener Plus, Pennsylvania’s most widely recognized environmental grant program, opens November 4, 2019. The four programs covered under this program are Growing Greener Watershed Restoration & Protection, Surface Mining Conservation and Reclamation Act (SMCRA) Bond Forfeiture, and Abandoned Mine Drainage (AMD) Set-Aside grants. The purpose of these grants is to addresss nonpoint source pollution through local, watershed-based planning, restoration and protection efforts.
