Delaware Watershed Conservation Fund

The Delaware Watershed Conservation Fund was launched in 2018 to conserve and restore natural areas, corridors and waterways on public and private lands that support native fish, wildlife and plants, and to contribute to the vitality of the communities in the Delaware River watershed. Priority strategies for on-the-ground implementation include sustaining and enhancing fish and wildlife habitat; improving and maintaining water quality for fish, wildlife and people; sustaining and enhancing water management to benefit fish and wildlife; and improving outdoor recreational opportunities within the Delaware River watershed.

Delaware River Restoration Fund

The Delaware River Restoration Fund was launched in late 2013 to help community-based nonprofits and government agencies work together to clean up and restore polluted waters and improve habitat for target species. A part of the Delaware River Program, the Fund awards at least $2 million per year in competitive grants, geographically focused on three priority strategies by cluster:  (1) stewardship of working lands; (2) restoration of wetlands, floodplains and stream corridors; and (3) promoting the adoption of green infrastructure in urban/suburban landscapes.

Community Conservation Partnerships Program Grants

DCNR’s Bureau of Recreation and Conservation (BRC) assists local governments and recreation and conservation organizations with funding for projects related to parks, recreation, planning, and conservation. Applications for DCNR’s Community Conservation Partnerships Program grants are accepted once a year, typically during the spring. Grants also support regional and statewide partnerships that build capacity to better develop and manage resources.

Northeast Sustainable Agriculture Research & Education Partnership Grants

Partnership Grants are reserved for agricultural service providers--extension staff, nonprofits, consultants, state departments of agriculture, and others working in the agricultural community--who want to conduct research to improve production practices, marketing approaches, or farmer, farmworker or community well-being; education and training programs to increase knowledge and improve decision-making about sustainable practices; on-farm or in-market demonstrations of new techniques; and developing new farm management and community development approaches that support sustainable agriculture outcomes.

Conservation Innovation Grants

CIG is a voluntary program that uses Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) funds to award competitive resource conservation grants to non-Federal governmental or non-governmental organizations or individuals from Pennsylvania. It does not fund research projects. Instead, it is a vehicle to stimulate the development and adoption of conservation approaches or technologies that have been studied sufficiently to indicate a likelihood of success and to be candidates for eventual technology transfer.

Schuylkill Highlands Mini Grant Program

This program provides mini-grants up to $15,000.00 to projects in Berks County, and major portions of Chester, Montgomery, Bucks, and to a lesser extent Lancaster and Lebanon Counties, that support the goals and objectives of the Schuylkill Highlands Conservation Landscape. The Schuylkill Highlands Mini-Grant Program is a reimbursement grant program funded by the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) and administered by the Schuylkill River Heritage Area and Natural Lands Trust.

National Coastal Resilience Fund
