EPA Extends Deadline for Clean Watershed Needs Survey to April 28, 2023

Municipalities need to contact their state coordinator to make sure their community is being counted! The survey is an assessment of the capital investments needed in water infrastructure to address the water quality goals of the CWA – including wastewater, stormwater, decentralized, and non-point source infrastructure. Data collection is conducted by “state coordinators” – the appointed contact person(s) at each state, often in the state’s SRF program. They are responsible for gathering the documents (Intended Use Plans, Capital Improvement Plans, Engineer’s Preliminary Study etc) that are used to support the costs entered into the survey

  • Full representation of all states and territories in this assessment is critical. Not only because this is the only national survey of its kind but, for the first time, the survey responses will be used to set the allocation formula for the Sewer Overflow and Stormwater Reuse Municipal Grants Program
