  • When and where: Three virtual sessions from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesdays, April 19, April 26, and May 3, 2023, followed by one in-person session from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the location of your choice on Thursday, May 4, at the John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove (eastern Pa.); Wednesday, May 10, at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center (western Pa.); or Thursday, May 11, at Bald Eagle State Park (central Pa.).
  • Audience: Formal and non-formal educators who have already completed Pennsylvania Meaningful Watershed Education Experience (Pa. MWEE) Ambassador Certification professional development since 2018.
  • Participants must attend all three virtual sessions and one of the in-person sessions and then co-plan and lead their first Pa. MWEE related workshop with a Pa. MWEE Certified Facilitator Trainer (minimum 6 hours) to become a certified facilitator.
  • Cost: FREE, 12 hours of Act 48 continuing education hours will be provided for any Pa. Certified Teachers.

Join us for three 2-hour online sessions and one 6-hour in-person session to dive deeper into the Pa. MWEE framework and Pa. Science, Technology, Engineering, Environmental Literacy, and Sustainability (STEELS) standards toward becoming a Pa. MWEE Certified Facilitator. Investigation of local environmental issues and outdoor field experiences are included in a model MWEE.
