Community-Based Water Resiliency (CBWR) Case Study Webinar

July 27, 2021 2:00pm to 3:00pm

The U.S. EPA is hosting a free CBWR webinar to assist drinking water and wastewater utilities, and the communities they serve, in increasing resiliency to water interruptions from all hazard incidents

WEBINAR DESCRIPTION:

CBWR involves interdependent sectors working

together to ensure that all residences and

businesses in a community have access to safe

drinking water and wastewater services.

This webinar will detail DC Water’s Critical Customer programs, which actively engage with those who rely on their water services. Many of the activities conducted by these critical customers (such as DC’s Department of General Services) can potentially adversely impact water services if not conducted correctly. Collaborating with critical customers before incidents occur benefits both DC Water and the interdependent sectors who rely on their drinking water and wastewater services. These interactions increase community resilience by better safeguarding water services.

If you have questions about the webinar, please contact Chrissy Dangel of the U.S. EPA at 513-569-7821 or dangel.chrissy@epa.gov.
