SAN Bus Tour

In celebration of the SAN's 15th anniversary, join us for a FREE bus tour to check out restoration projects in Schuylkill and Berks Counties!
The tour will stop at older and newer restoration projects, including an abandoned mine drainage (AMD) treatment site, a stream restoration/habitat improvement project, and a farm with a suite of conservation BMPs.
We will have two pickup locations: the first at Valley Forge Casino in King of Prussia, and the second at the Cabela's in Hamburg. Please indicate which pickup location you will meet at in the registration.
Agenda:
- 8:30am: First pickup at Valley Forge Casino (1160 1st Ave, King of Prussia, PA 19406)
- 10:15am: Second pickup at Cabela's in Hamburg (100 Cabela Dr, Hamburg, PA 19526)
- 11:00am: Tour Mary D abandoned mine drainage (AMD) treatment system
- 12:00pm: Tour New Philadelphia stream restoration and lunch
- 1:45pm: Tour Trexler farm
- 3:00pm: Drop off at Cabela's
- 4:30pm: Drop off at Valley Forge Casino
Lunch will be provided! Don't forget to wear closed-toed shoes and confortable clothing, and to bring a water bottle.
T-Shirts: We're excited to announce that we're selling special 15th-anniversary t-shirts! You can purchase a t-shirt for $20, which will be handed out at the bus tour, by selecting "Bus Tour Registration and T-Shirt" when signing up for the tour. If you cannot attend the tour, but would like to purchase a t-shirt, please select "T-Shirt Only" in the registration.
