Join us for our final quarterly Stormwater Workgroup and Engagement and Stewardship Workgroup meetings of 2022 to connect partners and projects in the Schuylkill Watershed! As our location touches on the interests of both workgroups we opted to combine into 1 BMP Tour/in-person meeting to wrap up the year!

Meeting location: Bartram's Garden 5400 Lindbergh Blvd., Philadelphia, PA

Time: 9am-1pm

Agenda:

9:00 am: Gather at Parking Area near Bartram’s Garden Welcome Center (5400 Lindbergh Blvd. Philadelphia, PA)

9:30am - Noon: Walking Tour of rain gardens and 49th & Botanic, Bartram’s Mile and new trail segment from 56th to 61st street. We will be stopping along the way to point out stormwater management elements and discuss the environmental, social, and economic benefits of the trail and preserving open space along the river.

12:00 – 1:00pm: Group lunch (provided) and networking at the Bartram’s Garden Barn.

1:00pm: End of program. Participants are encouraged to stay and explore more of the Garden and Welcome Center. 

 

Parking and Transportation:

Bartram’s Garden is located in Southwest Philadelphia and is easy to access via public transit, biking, and driving.

Public transportation is encouraged and available. The #36 SEPTA trolley stops at the Bartram’s Garden main entrance at 54th Street and Lindbergh Boulevard. Bike racks are also available on-site.

Parking is free on-site. Please use 5400 Lindbergh Blvd, Philadelphia, PA address for GPS navigation to the parking loop near Bartram's Garden's welcome center. Upon arriving the main entrance at 54th Street, drive down the long driveway, Harley Drive, until you reach a stop sign. Veer left to park in the visitor parking lot.

 

COVID-19 Guidelines:

Masks are not required as we will be outdoors, but we ask that you stay home if you feel unwell.
